Make-A-Wish Mid-South

During my time as an intern at Make-A-Wish, I made some life-long friendships and gained incredible experience. With the help of Liz Nelson (CEO) and Amanda Wiig (Communications Manager), I was able to improve my writing, especially for press releases, as well as learn new design skills in a real-life setting.

Some projects I worked on were updating our press release format to make it more appealing and the information easier to gather. I also created a “What To Know” card for our volunteers to carry with them with some important statistics they can share with wish families, donors, or the media. I spent much of my time creating an infographic specific to our chapter, including statistics and info tidbits that we shared with the National chapter!

Here, you’ll find some of the things I worked on!
