Sunday is Coming

You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him! For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! – Romans 5:6-10
Jesus. God in man. Man who knew no sin. God’s only Son, sent to Earth to die to save us sinners. A perfect Lord put to death for sins He did not and would never commit. Crucified on a cross that WE deserved to pay the price for all sin to come. Not only killed innocently, but mocked, tortured, and ridiculed.
Oh, but how it was the greatest act of love to ever be committed. You see, Friday was dark. It was gloomy, full of sadness. But, my friend, Sunday is coming. The Son rose on the third day, and with all of the glory and magnitude of Heaven, triumphantly defeated sin and ascended into the heavens. Glory to God in the highest!
Even on your darkest days, when it feels like light will never shine again, there are brighter days ahead. It won’t stay dark forever. Light is coming. It may not be in three days, or even three years, but the trials you are facing are not for nothing. God has a purpose and a plan much greater than any we could imagine. Have faith. Have trust. Spend time seeking Him. Pray.
Sunday is coming. Praise the Lord.
